Dylan turns 35!

10.21.2013

Stacy and Dylan hosted the party at their house.  They had mexican food, my favorite, it was delicious as always.  Dylan has his home brew as well.  The girls had fun playing with Sam, or getting pestered by him.  They were so cute to watch.

Sam was wearing Shawn's shirt when he was his age.  We found some of Shawn's boots and brought them over for Sam.  I had put them in their office as he went by he spotted them and immediately took his shoes off to try these on.  So adorable!

Sam pushing Ava against her will.

Sam pushing Adisyn into the pool fence and her saying "stop Sam"

Sam couldn't wait to have some cake

When we got home we got the girls out of the car and walked around to the sidewalk to find them like this.  silly girls.

Despite this picture above the girls had some energy to burn so we took them to the park for little bit to play.

Happy Birthday Dylan!

Sweet 16

Oh my sweet sister is 16!  How I love this girl!  Victoria is the kindest most loving person I know.  I hardly ever notice her angry, upset, or negative.  She is a ball of wonderfulness and I'm so happy I get to call her my sister.  Being we are 15 yrs apart I remember pretty much all of her childhood.  I remember changing her poopy diapers and taking her to daycare sometimes.  That was painful she did not like want me to leave she would cling to my leg in desperation I would change my mind and take her with me.  I remember her crawling and walking for the first time.  I remember those unforgettable rolls this girl had.  I am so proud of the young women she is becoming!  I look forward to many more memories of teaching her drive and going to college, getting married, and having kids of her own.

I love this girls zest for life and undeniable love she has for her family.
XOXO

Oktoberfest

The beginnings of the holidays this year started with San Tan's Oktoberfest.  It was a good time and the weather was amazing.  I was a bit skeptical going as the last San Tan event like this was not very organized.  I was happy it was better this time around.

we headed over to san tan for some delicious food.

We finished the night dancing to the bands.  When the main attraction came on, forget who it was, it started to make me feel uncomfortable having our kids there.  It just didn't seem as kid friendly so we left for home.  This was a great way to start the holidays.

Butterfly Wonderland

10.19.2013

We got invited to experience Butterfly Wonderland in Scottsdale.

The girls picked out the perfect shirt.  Hard to see in this picture but it has butterflies on it.

if you look closely you can see what is in Adisyn's hand is a flip flop bottle opener aka her cell phone.  HaHa.

First we watched a short 3D movie all about how the butterfly comes to be and then into a monarch.  It was very interesting.  We learned Arizona is the second state with the most population of butterflies.  I forget what was first maybe Florida.  Also I learned a butterfly, not be mistaken for monarch,  only lives for 14 days.  I believe the monarch only lives 9 months.  I also didn't know that they migrate like birds, guess it makes sense but, they travel to Mexico for the warmth.
Since the movie was 3D it made it even more exciting and cool!  Kelly, Isaac, and Ava sat in front of Adisyn, Nana, and myself.  It was cool to be behind them it looked like the butterflies were flying into their heads.  Anyway I'm easily entertained.

I sat next to Adisyn in the movie.  She leaned over about 5 minutes into it and whispered "Mom we forgot to get popcorn, I'm hungry"  LOL they crack me up!

Then we headed into the conservatory.  They instructed us not to put our hand out and encourage the butterflies to land on you.  They eat with their feet, another thing I didn't know, and we have bacteria on our hands.  Even though we didn't encourage the butterflies to land on us they still did as you'll see below.
Their wonderland was far from mine.  It was so humid.  Almost to the point its hard to enjoy it fully, but we still did.  The only time that amount of humidity should be allowed is with a beach view in Florida or Hawaii with a cold beer and the sunshine.  Now that's humidity I can handle.  Moving on...

This was my favorite

poor Isaac had sweat in each and every little baby roll.

After we had enough with the humidity we headed to the live ant colony displays.  They had some scary tarantellas too. The girls enjoyed the bee display as well.  Then we moved into what they call Rivers of the Amazon Aquatic Life.  We were allowed to put two fingers into the water and let the stingrays brush by us.  Ava actually had one touch her and she pulled her hand out of that water so fast.  We also saw all different fish and sharks.  It was an unexpected adventure.

We all had such a great time.  Even though its a bit pricey for me.  I think everyone should experience it at least once.

Summer wrap up

Okay now that the summer is officially over, I know this post is really late, I thought I should showcase some of the fun stuff we did.  Here is some of the stuff you didn't get to see...

 Tumbling class

The last class parents got to go in the class and the kids put on a show of everything they learned.  The girls are summer salt experts thanks to this class.

Ava is so proud.  She knows how to put on a show

Adisyn waiting for her turn.

balance beam.  Look at that point.  Think Ava is going to follow in Mommy's dancing footsteps.  We just need to get the falling over all the time under control :/

stamp of accomplishment.  Afterwards we took the girls for ice cream.
I'm so proud of the little ladies they are becoming.

Another fashion show...

These girls are too cute!!!  They are getting better at these fashion shows.  Once the crowd starts to die down a little bit they always insist on walking the runway over and over.
